JOIN THE ATTERBEARY ARMY!

Endorsements make for great political theater, but as far as I know, endorsements don’t put food on the table for struggling families, attract businesses to our county, or help ensure a quality public education for our children. At the end of the day, the only endorsement I’m concerned with is the endorsement of the voters from District 18.

Over the last few weeks, we have seen too much of this political theater, with the forces of status quo using the blogosphere and other distractions to keep the focus of Montgomery County’s voters off of the issues that matter. Now Is The Time to make this election count and send a representative to Annapolis that will always keep the most pressing priorities of the people of Montgomery County first.

Now Is The Time to solve our transportation, congestion, and pollution problems with effective new public transportation, and make the Purple Line a reality. Our county pays more than its fair share to the state and Now Is the Time to ensure that Montgomery County receives its truly deserved financial support in return. Now Is The Time to invest more effectively in our schools, our businesses, and our community. Now Is The Time to promote commonsense green development, and create green jobs throughout our state and local communities. Now Is The Time to continue to strengthen Maryland’s progressive record on civil rights for minorities, women, and LGBT citizens. Now Is The Time for effective and responsive representation in Annapolis!

If you agree that this is the time to address these priorities, remember to sign up on my website www.electvanessaatterbeary.com and volunteer, even if you only have one hour to give. We need you to join us and help introduce Metro commuters to the campaign at the Silver Spring, Forest Glen, and Wheaton Stations. We need you to join us and walk door to door and phonebank to spread the word throughout the community. We need you to join us at flea markets, farmers markets and street festivals.

Please sign up for any or all of these volunteer opportunities. Remember to request a yard sign, call your friends and neighbors, and most importantly, make Atterbeary your only choice in the Democratic Primary on September 14!
