The Washington Post Endorses Atterbeary!
A strong challenger worthy of support is “Vanessa Atterbeary, an attorney who serves on the Montgomery County Commission for Women” a “Purple Line supporter[s]” and is “better attuned to the district’s mix of affluent and working-class residents.”

Thank you for all of the well wishes and words of support. The past 5 months have been challenging and exciting. The campaign went from being unknown in May to receiving numerous endorsements including the endorsement of the Washington Post. It was a joy meeting over 16K residents in District 18 and hearing their concerns and I’d like them to know that I will continue to work to make D18 and Montgomery County a better place for all of its residents.
I thank my family for their undying support; my staff, a true reflection of Montgomery County’s diversity; the many volunteers who took time from their busy lives to help the campaign; and my friends for supporting me through this process. There is much to celebrate.
As I said in the beginning, “This campaign isn’t about me, it’s about you.” President Clinton didn’t win his first election and, yes, even President Barack Obama sustained a loss. So, as they say…until we meet again…
